After Traumatic Early Childhood, High School Football Star Uses Fame to Help Foster Kids

Football prodigy Malachi Coleman’s remarkable journey from being abandoned by his mother to becoming a star at Lincoln East High School and joining the Nebraska Huskers is nothing short of a Hail Mary. After experiencing abuse in the foster care system and eventually finding a loving adoptive family, Coleman turned his life around by embracing kindness, starting with holding doors open for others. Now, the young athlete is using his fame to give back, partnering with a local restaurant to promote a burrito that raises funds for the foster care system, with the ultimate goal of opening the doors to forever homes for children in need.
